Unikem 150 (OFF line Decarbonization Compound)

Unikem 150 is a unique blend of a Strong penetrant, Surface active agents, detergents, effective corrosion inhibitor, & Accelerator. By circulating it in entire thermic fluid system, we can remove the Hard carbon depositions from the piping and equipments. This will lead to improvement in heat transfer of the entire system & also it will product the new oil contamination by the deposited carbon.

The strong Penetrant helps to remove the deposited carbon. The Penetrant loosen the bond of carbon with the metal and remove it from the metal. This penetrating process is supported by accelerator which ensures complete removals of Hard carbon deposits. The surface-active agents & detergents helps flush out the residue of penetrants with carbon & also keeps the system clean with exposure of the fresh surface of scale (carbon) for the further penetration. Strong corrosion inhibitor protects the entire metallurgy from any pitting and corrosion.

Procedure for Unikem 150 Off line Decarbonization.

  • Bring the Thermic fluid Temperature to 150OC
  • Add the recommended dose (6% to 8% by volume) of Unikem 150 to the system
  • Circulate for 48 hours.
  • Check for deposits at the accessible area like flanges, utilities etc.
  • Then drain the entire Thermic fluid.
  • Apply compressed air to ensure the complete draining of the system
  • Add new Thermic fluid to the system.
  • Heat up the system more slowly from temp. 90 - 150ºC. Some fumes / smell coming out if traces of cleaning chemical is remaining in the system.
  • After reaching the required operating temperature, start the production equipment and utilities

Unikem 300 (ON line Decarbonization Compound)

Unikem 300 is an online Decarbonization and cleaning compound which helps to remove the carbon depositions without any shutdown & production stoppages.

Unikem 300 is a strong blend of a Strong penetrant, Surface active agents, effective corrosion inhibitor, & Accelerator which can withstand high operating temperature of thermic fluid system.

Along with Unikem Filtia On-line Carbon filtration system, Unikem 300 can be used as a preventive measure for carbon deposition.

Unikem 300 will help to increase the heat tranfer rate by removing the carbon scales from the utility section. The removed floating carbon can be trapped by using Unikem Filtia On-line Carbon filtration system.

Based upon the level of carbon deposition in system, the recommended dosage of Unikem 300 may vary from 2% to 5%.

As a preventive measure, the dosage can be done once in a year.
